Poetess Black Jewel has been passionately writing since the age of eight and performing poetry since 2001. Her spoken word journey has taken her to poetry slams, community stages, schools, and ministry events, where she has captivated audiences with her powerful blend of art and purpose. In 2002, she dedicated her life to the Lord, marking a turning point in her career. Before every casting call or project, I pray that God will send the individuals He desires me to work with. That prayer has led me to so many talented, funny, loving, and supportive people! Some who have mastered their craft and others who have never set foot on a stage, acted, or performed in front of an audience or camera. I truly love working with passionate individuals, whether they have experience or not; they bring positive vibes to the set. As a stage and film director, it warms my heart to see stage vets share their experience with newbies and witness our newbies learn from the stage vets!
